About this notice
I’m Owen Newman, founder of Areté MCAT Tutoring. This notice explains how information is handled on aretemcat.com, Areté Math Lab, and Areté Orgo Lab.
Using the free Labs
Both Labs are free to use without an account. They save learning progress in your browser so you can return to your practice. Clearing that browser data can remove your saved progress. Orgo Lab sends your answers to its server for grading and feedback. If you submit a problem report, that report is sent for review. Your browser’s saved learning progress is separate from traffic analytics.
Traffic and site performance
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate pageviews, visits, referring sites, and page performance. It uses no analytics cookies or browser fingerprinting, and Cloudflare says it does not log URL query strings. Cloudflare receives your IP address when handling an analytics request, then discards it at its nearest data center rather than storing it in its core analytics databases or logs. Our hosting and security providers may also process IP addresses and technical request information to deliver and protect the sites.
Orgo Lab usage counts
Orgo Lab also records basic totals for fixed actions, such as opening a practice tab or checking an answer. These counters do not include the answer you type or draw, your saved learning progress, or a visitor identifier.
Email signup and messages
If you choose to subscribe, Hostinger Reach processes your signup and sends our welcome email. You can unsubscribe using the link in our emails. Using the Labs does not subscribe you. The contact form sends your name, email address, and message through FormSubmit to our business Google Workspace inbox so I can respond.
Bookings and payments
Cal.com handles appointment bookings. Scheduling uses Google Calendar, and online meetings use Google Meet or Cal Video. Stripe handles payments for paid sessions. These services process information needed for the booking, meeting, or payment under their own privacy policies.
